The first time when I saw Michael Jordan, the king of NBA, flying high over steps to have an amazing and shocking dunk, I made my quick decision to buy a NBA jersey with his name written on it. Back then, there was a sweeping wave of wearing NBA jerseys across the whole country. When I was in high school, you would probably have no friend or be called a weirdo if you did not have a NBA jersey. By the way, the weird thing is that you can constantly catch some boys showing their talents playing street basketball just beside or at the NBA shop where I used to go for new NBA jerseys. Years later, these high school young boys have grown up into adults with their own careers and life paths.
Watching basketball game, as a tradition of the U.S., has given millions of households pleasure for a several generations. It is a bond of friendship, a sweet candy of family, a proof of history. If we say watching a game is a required class, NBA jersey is a fashion prevalent among the fans.
My 10-year-old son is also a big fan of NBA sports. Every new season, he would always ask me to buy him a new NBA shirt and short just like I did when I was young. This is a fashion carried on for generations. When a day is clear, my father, son and I would have a family basketball game. Although my father’s NBA shirt looks ragged as time goes by, he still looks as energetic and robust as he was before in his favorite NBA basketball jersey. More importantly, he alwasy wants to tell everybody he is still a big fan of NBA even if he is old now.

Even though we do not hang out as often as before, one thing that brings us together back from our different life paths is to watch a NBA game at a nearby pub on weekends. Usually, we would wear the NBA basketball jerseys which represent the teams we love and have some beers, enjoying the rest of night with NBA games in big man-style laughs. So, NBA games become something that carries on our high school friendship. However, we would sometimes even show hostility to guys wearing another team’s jerseys when the game is over and people are coming out of the pub. Especially when we casually go to watch the game in the Gym, we would even have a fight or a frantic quarrel with fans for the away-home team. But in fact, all fans tend to be friendly very much.
